How to Get from Adana to Gazientep by Bus

After spending two nights at a friend’s house in Adana, we travelled to Gaziantep by bus. We plan to take my time heading east, making our way towards the border with Georgia. The bus from Adana to Gazientep is fast, cheap and comfortable.

In this article, I will write down my experience of travelling by bus from Adana to Gaziantep.

Where to Get on the Bus from Adana to Gazientep

The only way to travel from Adana to Gaziantep is by bus. There is no rail service.

Buses to Gaziantep run frequently every day. Adana’s long-distance bus terminal is located about 5 km west of the city centre.

Bus fare from Adana to Gaziantep

Bus fares from Adana to Gaziantep vary depending on the bus company, but we have confirmed that they start from 140 lira.

We travelled on a VIP bus operated by a company called SEC, which cost 160 lira.

This time, a Turkish friend booked the tickets for me over the phone, but I was asked to show my passport when I went to the ticket office to pay and collect them.

We left Adana at 2 pm. It was a VIP coach with spacious three-across seating. Drinks and mini cakes were served during the journey.

It was a very comfortable bus with three seats in a row and shortly after departure tea/coffee/coke/water was served along with a little cake.

The Gazientep Otogar (bus station) is located 6kms from the centre of the city. You can take a bus or taxi to the centre, but will need a Gazientep Card for the bus or you can use a contactless card if you have one (and if it’s working).
