Sahid T-More Hotel Kupang Review: Free Airport Transfer and Spacious Rooms

We stayed at Sahid T-More Hotel in Kupang because it was close to the airport and offered a free airport transfer.

At the time, getting to and from Kupang Airport was our main priority. However, after booking the hotel, we bought our Pelni tickets from Kupang to Kalabahi in Alor and discovered that the port was quite a long way from the hotel.

Despite that, we had a comfortable stay. The hotel room felt a little dated, but it was spacious and clean, the staff were friendly and polite, and there were convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance.

Why We Chose Sahid T-More Hotel Kupang

The main reason we chose Sahid T-More Hotel was its convenient location near Kupang Airport and the fact that the hotel offered a free airport transfer.  There was also a special offer on the price!

After a long day ofvtravel, having a hotel that can arrange an airport transfer makes things considerably easier, particularly if you’re carrying luggage.

For us, this was the main attraction when we booked the hotel.

The Pelni Port Was Quite Far Away

There was one thing we hadn’t considered when booking Sahid T-More Hotel: our onward journey by Pelni ferry.

After booking the hotel, we bought our Ferry tickets from Kupang to Kalabahi and realised that the port was quite far from the hotel.

So, if you’re staying in Kupang because you’re flying in or out of the airport, the location is convenient. However, if you’re planning to catch a Pelni ferry from Kupang, it’s worth checking the distance to the port before booking your accommodation.  That said, the journey to the port took only took 40 minutes.

Our Double Room Was Spacious and Clean

We stayed in a double room at Sahid T-More Hotel.

The hotel feels somewhat dated, but the room itself was clean and surprisingly spacious.

There was plenty of room, the mattress was also comfortable, and we slept well during our stay.

A Spacious Bathroom with a Hot Shower

The bathroom was also very spacious.

There was no bathtub, but we had a hot shower, which was exactly what we needed!

For a practical hotel stay between destinations, having reliable hot water was a definite plus.  We often stay in places with only cold water in Indonesia so it’s particularly pleasant to have a hot shower every now and again.

Staying on the Third Floor

Sahid T-More Hotel is a three-storey property, and we stayed on the third floor.

The view from our room was good, but there was some road noise, particularly during the day.

Traffic could be heard from the room, so this is something to bear in mind if you’re sensitive to noise.

Fortunately, the road became much quieter at night, and we slept well. The comfortable mattress helped too.

An Electric Kettle in the Room

Our room also had an electric kettle, with tea coffee and water provided.

It’s a small detail, but having a kettle is useful when you’re travelling. We could easily make a hot drink without having to leave the room.

Friendly and Polite Staff

The staff at Sahid T-More Hotel were friendly and polite throughout our stay.

Everyone we dealt with was welcoming, which made the stay more pleasant

Outdoor Swimming Pool

The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool.

Kupang can be hot, so having a pool is a useful facility if you want to relax at the hotel.

We were mainly using Sahid T-More Hotel as a base while travelling through Kupang, but the pool is a nice additional feature.

Alfamart, Indomaret and Restaurants Nearby

Another practical advantage is the selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance.

There are Alfamart and Indomaret convenience stores nearby, as well as restaurants.

This made it easy to get snacks, drinks and meals without having to arrange transport every time we needed something.

Our Overall Experience at Sahid T-More Hotel Kupang

Overall, we found Sahid T-More Hotel Kupang to be a practical and comfortable place to stay.

The hotel may feel a little dated, but our room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was large, there was a hot shower, and the mattress was very comfortable.

The road noise was noticeable during the day, but the area became quiet at night and we slept well.

For us, the biggest advantage was the free airport transfer and convenient location near Kupang Airport.  We also got a very reasonably priced deal!

If you’re travelling through Kupang by air, Sahid T-More Hotel can be a useful base. However, if you’re planning to continue your journey by Pelni ferry, remember to check the distance to the port before booking.
