Check in and luggage drop off

We had already checked in online, and didn’t have any luggage to check in. So we straight went to the security check counter.
Check in counters at the airport didn’t look busy the morning we were there.
Security check
However, the security check counters were a bit busy; we had to queue up but it was not too bad.Heathrow airport allows you to bring liquid bottles on board even it they are more than 100 ml (up to 2 liters). As we had known about that, we bought 2 bottles of sun cream and a couple of jars of homemade jam which were given by one of our friends.
Heathrow Airport now allows you to bring liquid bottles on board even it they are more than 100 ml (up to 2 litres). As we had known about this, we bought 2 bottles of sun cream and a couple of jars of homemade jam which were given by one of our friends.
Strangely enough, the sun cream went through whilst the jars were flagged. Mai had to take them out of her backpack to show them to the security officer.
They did a quick check and then allowed Mai to bring them to carry on the plane. It was good to know that we can now definitely carry bigger bottles of liquid onto planes from Heathrow airport.
Plaza Premium Lounge at Heathrow airport Terminal 2
After the security check, we went to the Plaza Premium Lounge using lounge passes which I got as credit card rewards.
They served a British breakfast buffet which was good for because we did not have a breakfast at the hotel.
Boarding and departure

Our Air Canada app showed that the incoming flight was delayed and our boarding time was delayed. Actual boarding was started later than the schedule time, but it was quite smooth.
Also because the plane was not full, they managed to depart more or less on time.
3. Cabin Comfort, Seating, and Amenities
Spending seven and a half hours in the air means seat comfort and cabin ambiance are incredibly important.

Seat Pitch and Legroom
The economy cabin features a standard configuration with adequate legroom for an average adult, allowing for a relatively comfortable journey across the Atlantic.

In-Seat Features
Seats are equipped with adjustable headrests, a crisp touchscreen entertainment monitor, and a personal USB port handy for keeping mobile devices topped up during the flight.
Inflight Entertainment (IFE)
The system boasts a good selection of movies, television programmes, and games, with audio tracks and subtitles available in multiple languages.
4. Inflight Catering: Meals and Drinks Service

Passengers on this transatlantic day flight are served two separate catering services: a hot main meal shortly after take-off and a lighter snack prior to descent.
First Meal Service (Lunch)
A choice of hot main dishes; a chicken option or a vegetarian pasta, accompanied by a side salad, a bread roll, and a biscuit for dessert.
Beverage Options
A full complimentary selection of soft drinks, juices, and Canadian beers or wines was available to accompany the meal, followed by a coffee and tea service.
Second Meal Service (Pre-Arrival)
Roughly 90 minutes before landing in Montreal, the cabin crew served a hot, chicken or cheese sandwiche alongside an additional round of refreshments.
5. Arrival and Border Clearance at Montreal Trudeau Airport

Despite the slightly late departure, we arrived at Montreal Trudeau airport earlier than the scheduled time.
Immigration
Passengers process their entry via the automated primary inspection kiosks, which streamlines the border control queue significantly. The machine prints out a piece of paper which you need when you go through the customs.
Baggage Reclaim

As we didn’t have check-in luggage, we just straight went to the customs, which is just after baggage collection.
Onward Transport
For those heading straight into the city centre, the 747 Express bus service is easily accessible right outside the terminal doors.
We took an Uber taxi from the airport home. There is a specific exit for Uber users. You need to follow the sign of Uber and wait in a queue after booking your Uber taxi. When you book Uber taxi, you receive the number which you need to show to the driver when your driver arrives.
6. Final Verdict: Is Air Canada Economy Worth It?
Overall, Air Canada AC867 provides a highly reliable, punctual, and comfortable way to travel from London to Montreal.
- The Highlights: The daytime schedule is excellent for managing time zone transitions, and the cabin crew delivered a warm, helpful, and courteous service throughout.
